Depending on the polymer, Russia’s import volumes were up 10% to 64% through June 2012.
Singapore’s polyolefins exports totaled 2.4 million tons through June 2012, up 19%. Singapore’s imports of these polymers were 1.6 million tons, up 23%.
Particularly large percentage increases on South Korea’s exports of ethylene and propylene monomer, EVA and LDPE June 2012 YTD; strong gains also on exports of other products.
Trends for other polyolefins were mixed. Exports of L/LLDPE posted a moderate gain through June 2012; shipments of HDPE and PP declined.
Turkey’s imports of HDPE rise slightly through June 2012; PVC imports decline.
US shipments of these major volume commodity polymers were down 2%-14% through June 2012
