United States’ exports of several chemicals surged in the first half of 2015: shipments of acetone, benzene, ethylene glycol, methanol, phenol, propylene and VAM were up 16% to 142% from the same period in 2014.
Prominent trends year to date included: reduced intra-regional trade in Asia-Pacific and lower imports into the region from North America and Western Europe but higher volumes from Latin America; a continued downward trend for exports from North America. Continue reading →
